There's very little time left until the Twilight movie comes out! (at least in the US because here in Argentina it will be released on January 01, 2009) so to celebrate that I decided to post the countdown clock that's shared at Stephenie Meyer's site (I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping the code will work all right, you all know I always find a way to mess up *lol*)

I've veen participating for a little while in a Twilight icon challenge community called twilight_ic and this week we had our first Header challenge (since the Mod's are changing the layout). I sent 2 headers and all my hopes were in the second one I had made, even though I made it kind of in a rush (I had very little time to finish it and submit it) I'd dare say it came out very pretty! But unfortunately it ended up in second place =( (that's usually how I end up in challenges, here is the link so you can check them out), I was hoping I'd get to see it in the new community layout. Anyways, since I lost and the header is mine I decided to make some small changes in the text and upload it as my new LJ header (if you guys are playing that game where you count all the times I wrote the word "header" and take a tequila shot for every one of them, you're probably drunk right now).
I have made 5 Twilight wallpapers by now, I had them in my DeviantArt but they were deleted by the administrators (since the pictures from the movie are copyrighted I can't post them there) so I'll be uploading them here as soon as I can along with several icons. If anyone wants a preview you can check the wallpaper screenshots that I'd uploaded to DA right here.
My latest obsession (along with Twilight of course) is the TV show The Tudors. I can't stop watching it!! All the actors and actresses are amazing, what a great show to watch. My next header will probably be one of the show.

Oh, and I missed Muse's performance last July in the Gran Rex theatre =( , excuse me...I'll just go to the corner now and weep...

I haven't updated my journal in a long time...several things happened in the last few months...and I also have some textures to share:

I've been a little bit absent...well, ok very very absent from my LJ. I kind of came back feeling extra-lazy from my vacations (and that was in January). I've been participating in a few icon challenges and making icons for myself. Just have to give myself a kick in the butt & upload the icons to my host to post them O_O
There hasn't been anything exciting to share, well maybe just the fact that I finally, FINALLY!!, bought a digital camera!! yaaay for me!! To be honest I bought it with my Mother, we're both paying for it so I didn't really get the model I wanted (which was a Sony DSC-H7), we got an -H3 which isn't quite bad (my Mom wanted one of those really small ones and I didn't, we always disagree). This weekend, which is a long weekend due to Easter (thank God!!) we are going to San Pedro as we usually do to visit my aunt & cousins so I'll be taking my camera with me to take lots of useless pictures! yaayy! (really looking forward to experimenting with it!)
Anyways, everybody have a nice weekend and enjoy Easter!

I can make animated gifs!!! yay!! (finally). Thanks to an newspaper article I read which was actually about cellphones, on how to make your own wallpapers, ringtones and screensavers, I found out about a program ( keep reading more in here )

I'm arraging the big mess that my journal has become, *lol* so I've updated my profile with a lovely layout by reversescollide, added a banner by g_ivy_ar (that would be me! =P ), links to my Credits and Resources but I'm also adding a new entry just for the banners I've won in different challenges (there aren't many but since I'm a very lazy person & I take months to upload images, they accumulate in large amounts; y'all know that). Ok, so the options for leaving the boxes for the tags, the profile and all the rest were in the 'Customize' options, I know I should have looked there first, but can you guys blame me? I told you I don't know much about Css / HTML and how it works. Now I just have to figure out how to add extra sidebar-boxes, for what I have found out so far (if the info is correct) that's only possible for paid accounts not for free one like mine but I'm not going to abandon the cause!!!! I'll keep on searching 'til I find a way to include more boxes in my sidebar!!! yeah!
Oh, and I know I have to change my header also, I've had it for a long time now...It's just that I really like looking at Gerry (and his muscles =P )

It was about time, I had the purple layout for ever! And it's a big change, for those in LJ who don't know much about stylesheets,CSS & HTML (like my case) know what I'm talking about. Besides I changed the layout from Smooth Sailing to Flexible Squares which is rather more simple in stylesheet but so different that for the moment I'm kind of lost. As I have witness just about now with this new design I lost some of the 'boxes' on the sidebar (any additional info that I wanted to present about me or my journal & all my list of tags!) so I'll have to keep on searching info or cry for help! >.<

Yes, & I'll say it again!, holy crap I'm a freaking dummy!!!...or I simply can't read in English as well as I thought =( ... or I have A.D.D. (anything is possible). I couldn't submit my icons on the last challenge at padanistillness (#58) because I thought I had read the deadline was last Wednesday August 1 but nooooo, it clearly said Monday July 30 >.< The worst thing is... it's not the first time I miss-read something O_O I was looking forward to participating 'cause I really liked the icons I had made, so since I didn't submit them at the challenge I guess I can post them here (I'm not breaking the challenge rules after all)...and here they are:

Well, nooo! I haven't forgotten about my journal. I work everyday and between that and keeping up with challenges in different communities I've joined, I have left very little time to write here (not that I have anything interesting or important to tell anyway) or icons to post just for my own pleasure (of course that I also love to share them with everyone in LJ), all the icons I've been making lately were for challenges, so let's see, right now I've been submitting my stuff to gerrychallenge, padanistillness, ros_stillness & keira_stills. I also joined poto_stillness but haven't submitted icons yet =( don't have time!!!
So yes, I haven't uploaded all my icons to post here (though now they look sooo old that I'm almost embarrassed to show them >.< ), I have to update my resources & challenge banners (again!!) plus I really need to visit my three only LJ friends: laury_kos, valliegurl & sweetgirl26 I haven't forgotten about you guys!! reallyyy!!

Anyhow, ooohh!!!! I almost forgot! It snowed in Buenos Aires!!!! for the first time in 89 years!! First time I see snow falling down too, it was little snowflakes really but still, the weirdest thing I've seen in my whole life in this city. The only thing I didn't like about it was that I froze my ass off!!! not funny at all! I hate cold (in case I haven't said it too many times!) Can't wait for summer! I need hot weather, hot!, boiling hot!! I rather be able to fry an egg on my skin than trembling all day (night & freaking day) like a leaf.
I spent the last weekend in San Pedro visiting my relatives (like in every other long weekend), not much to say about it =/, the only relevant event was the snow... I need warmer clothing =¿
I think that's all...

Not much to say & I'm trying to write things down fast 'cause I'm at work; I've finally updated all my Resources info (both on my user info page and the link provided on the column to the left of my journal, yeah, the one that coincidentally says 'Resources'), I've loaded some challenge banners that I had; what else??!!...mmm I'm forgetting something. I'm going crazy with the icons for the next challenges, I'm going crazy with work (what else is new!!). I'm trying to find freaking mp3 files for 'The Phantom Of The Opera' movie soundtrack & the 'Pride & Prejudice' soundtrack also, I'm trying to keep up with the LJ-world...what else??!...I'll probably remember once I finish posting this...that's the way my head works sometimes, it's got delay problems go figure!! *lol*

An idea I got from my lj-friend laury_kos, visiting her journal i got to see some pics she uploaded of her dogs (2 cute French poodles) and the city where she lives in Mexico (right next to the US). So I ended up loading a few pics (landscapes also) for you guys to check out if you're interested, (  right here under the lj-cut )

I haven't written anything in like a billion years, yes, but there's not much to say; I won 1st place at the last gerrychallenge (yay!!) & at the last padanistillness!! (super-yaaayy!). After a long time on Hiatus padanistillness is back!!, I really missed the community. And getting the 1st place really motivates me to try to do my very best with the icons. I'm trying to go back to using textures again, I know Selective Color is very "in" right now but adding textures gives the icons an extra something, though it's hard to find tutorials for coloring with textures.
I also joined another community for icon challenges! It's ros_stillness dedicated to the tv show 'Roswell', one of my favorites (shame it's not on re-run in Argentina =/ ). I don't know why I didn't join a roswellian community before!! *facepalm* I'm trying to find more communities of my fave tv shows & movies, though I don't know if I'll be able to manage all the icon challenges =O ...we'll see...
I have to visit my lj friends also, I have been a bit absent =? and I know I have to load all my freaking icons!! >.< , it's a tough life in LJ, I ll have to quit my job maybe!! *lol* (just kidding!). I'll eventually find a way to juggle everything but for now...see you all soon *blows kisses*
PS: Fall started less than a month ago and I already hate it!! Can't wait for Summer!!

Well, it turns out we had a Header challenge at gerrychallenge to choose a new one for the community layout and we could submit 2...so I made my headers, the 2nd one on the last minute, in a hurry and not convinced at all with any of my 2 works (that's why I stick to 100x100 icons, making bigger art requires extra creativity, extra talent and extra planning)...what happened??!!? the second header I made ended up in 2nd place! ^_^ (which makes me think that maybe people is crazier than I thought). The 1st place went to spikesbint and her gorgeous banner in an aqua-sort-of coloring, really nice (and my first choice when I voted) and the 3rd place for herm_weasley with a black & white and green-eyed lovely Gerry. I still can't believe mine was the second choice! 'cause the colors were very plain, a bit boring I'd say...so I need to practice my header-skills *lol* here's the link if anyone cares to take a look: sexiest man alive!!.
And, changing topics, my lj-friend sweetgirl26 posted some animated dolls and chose one for each of her online friends, including me, yeeepy! you can see them here: naughty good-looking dolls
Oh! and one last thing to report, I couldn't get freaking tickets on the radio for the '300' premiere in Buenos Aires!, dammit!! xO
